View Personalized News Feed and Global News

You can view your personalized news feed and all the news posted from any member of the site by clicking on the top bar newspaper icon. When on the News Feed section, you are in your personalized section by default, to view all the news from anybody, click on Global in the bottom news navigation bar. To come back to your personalized feed, click on News in the bottom navigation bar. You can view most reacted news by clicking on the Reactions button in the bottom navigation bar. To view a specific news and all his comments, click on the date and time of any news entry, you will then be redirected to this news and all his comments. To view your own personal news, click on your profile picture or the News link of the right navigation menu.

View People Directory

You can view the list of all the members of the site. To view the people directory, click on the People link of the left navigation menu. You can follow any user in the list by clicking on the Follow button in the entry of this user. When following someone, you will receive the news of this user in your news feed. You can visit any user's profile by clicking on the name of the user in any entry of the people directory.

View Channels Directory

You can view the list of all the channels of the site. To view the channels directory, click on the Channels link of the left navigation menu. You can connect to any channel in the list by clicking on the Connect button or ask for a connection for any private channel with the Request connection button. When connected to a channel, you will receive the news of the connected channels in your news feed. You can visit any channel by clicking on the name of the channel in any entry of the channels directory.

View Trending News

You can view the trending news by clicking on the Trends link of the left navigation menu. The Trends area will list the top trending news of the site by most posted trends definied by hashtags.

View Specific Member Sections

You can view the news, following, followers, profile, channels and medias of a specific user by going on is profile. You will find in the bottom main navigation bar the different user sections. The user's news and medias sections have a bottom sub navigation bar with separated news and medias parts. You will find all the different links to the sections of your personal account in the right navigation menu.

View Specific Channel Sections

You can view the news, connections and medias of a specific channel by visiting a specific channel. If the channel is public, anybody can view the content of the channel but if the channel is private, you will need to be connected to it in order to view the content of the channel. You will find in the bottom main navigation bar the different channel sections.

Search

You can search in global news, people directory by profile fields and channels directory. To search on the site, click on the Search link of the left navigation menu and the search options will popup. Click after on the button of your choice to display the search form, fill the necessary fields and click on the search button at the bottom of the form to be redirected to the search results.

Post News (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can post news including text, images, audios, videos, hashtags, @mentions, links and location. Your text must have less than 3000 characters. The post news button is located in the top bar as the purple discussion bubble and + icon. When clicked, it will popup the news post area. To post your news, click on the right green button of the news post area bottom options. You can post news from anywhere and it will be posted to your personal news feed except if you are visiting a channel for which you are connected to or an administrator of, it will then post in this actual channel's news. To upgrade your registration type, go the the Subscription Plans link in your Settings section of the right navigation menu.

Reply to News (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can reply to news including text, images, audios, videos, hashtags, @mentions and links. Your text must have less than 3000 characters. To reply to a news, click on the two discussion bubble icon located in any news bottom options. To send your reply, click on the right green button of the reply area bottom options.

Add Medias to your News and Replies (Paid Registred Member Only)

To add medias to your news, click on the medias icon below the text area when the news post or reply area is open. After clicking on the medias icon, choose the medias you want to add to your news or reply. The media types allowed are jpg, jpeg, png and gif for images, mp4 for videos and mp3 for audios. The maximum file size for your uploads is 512MB. You can view the all your medias by clicking on the Medias link of the right navigation menu.

Use the @Mention (Paid Registred Member Only)

When posting a news or replying to a news, you can mention a user's name by entering the @, start typing the name of the user you would like to mention and choose the user in the appearing list popup. Another way to mention a user in a news is to click on the @ icon button in a specific user profile header, you will then be redirected to the news page with the mention already entered in the text area of the news post area. The mentioned user will be notified of your mention.

Use the #Hashtags for Trends (Paid Registred Member Only)

When posting a news or replying to a news, you can use hashtags by entering in your text the # sign followed by the word you would like to be turned as a trend altogether. The word will turn into a clickable word as a trend and will redirect people clicking it to a list of all the news containing this exact trend.

React to News (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can react to a news by clicking on the heart icon in his bottom options. A popup window will open letting you choose between 12 different reactions to click on. The news author will be notified of your reaction and the reacted news will be posted in the news as a reacted news by you.

Bookmark News (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can bookmark news by clicking in the news bottom options bookmark icon. The news will then be saved in your Bookmarked News section.

Follow People  

You can follow people in order to display their news in your news feed by clicking the Follow button in any user entry of the people directory or in a specific user's header. The user you start to follow will be notified of you following this user. You can view the list of the people you are following by clicking on the Following link of the right navigation menu.

Be Followed by Other People  

You can be followed by other people and have your news displayed in their news feed. You will receive a notification telling you that you have new followers. You can view the list of the people who are following you by clicking on the Followers link of the right navigation menu.

Create Channels (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can create channels. To create a channel, click on the Channels link of the left navigation menu and when redirected to the Channels directory, click on the Create a Channel button in the bottom navigation bar. There is two types of channels that you can create: Group or Page. The Group type channel will enable any user who is connected to this type of channel to post news in the channel. The Page type channel is used to have a channel that only administrators of it can post news into in order for the people who are connected to it to view and reply to channel news only. There is two privacy settings for the channel of any type: Public or Private. The public setting let any one to view the channel news and any site member to connect to it. The private setting hide any content of the site for non channel connected users. Any user who would like to connect to a private channel needs to send a connection request that an administrator of the channel needs to accept in order to let that user connect to it.

Connect to Channels (Paid Registred Member Only)    

You can connect to channels by clicking on the Connect button (public channel) or Request connection button (private channel) in each channel entry of the channels directory listing or in a specific channel's header. When connected to a channel, a user will be able to display this channel's news in the user's personalized news feed. The connected channels of a user can be found in the bottom navigation bar when you visit a user's profile. You can view the list of the channels you are connected to or are allowed to manage by clicking on the Channels link of the right navigation menu.

Post Channels News (Paid Registred Member Only)

When you are connected to or an administrator of a Group type channel or an administrator of a Page type channel, you are able to post news in the channel. You can post news including text, images, audios, videos, hashtags, @mentions, links and location. Your text must have less than 3000 characters. To post a news in a Group type channel that you are connected to or an administrator of or a Page type channel that you are an administrator of, go to this specific channel and click on the post news button located in the top bar as the purple discussion bubble and + icon. Take note that only Group type channels are allowing any connected user to post in the channel, Page type channels are allowing only administrators of the channels to post news into. Make sure you are allowed to post in a channel when visiting one and post a news from there because you will post in your personal news if you are not allowed to post in this channel since you can post news from anywhere. If the discussion and + button is grey, you won't be able to post in the channel because of a non paid registration. To upgrade your registration type, go the the Subscription Plans link in your settings section of the right navigation menu.

Reply to Channel News (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can reply to news of a channel that you are connected to or is an administrator of. You can add text, images, audios, videos, hashtags, @mentions and links to your channel news reply. Your text must have less than 3000 characters. To reply to a channel news, click on the two bubbles icon of a channel news bottom options.

Invite People

Any member of the site can invite people to it. The invitations are send by email to the people you would like to invite to the site. When you are connected to a channel, you can invite people to the channel too. To invite people to the site, go to your Invites section in the right navigation menu and click on Invite, there you will be redirected to the section where you can enter the the name and email address of anybody you would like to invite to the site and click the purple bottom button to send your invitations. You can view your sent invitations at anytime by clicking on the Sent link of your Invites section of the right navigation menu, your accepted invitations are displayed in green.

Personnalize Profiles and Channels

Your profile let you add a profile picture and a cover picture. You can fill your different profile fields in order to let people know more about you. Those profile fields let people find other interesting people in a more precise way. The channels don't have profile fields but let you add a description, channel picture and channel cover picture. To personalize a channel that you are allowed to manage, go to this channel and you will find the Manage button in the bottom navigation bar of the channel in order to change the description of the channel, the settings, the channel's picture and cover picture. You will find in the Profile section of the right navigation menu the View link to view your own personal profile, the Edit link to edit your profile fields, the Change Profile Photo link to change your profile picture and the Change Cover Image link to change the cover image of your account. You can adjust the visibility of each of your profile fields from Everyone for any site visitor, to Only Me for a private visibility or to All Members for a visibility to only site members by clicking on the Profile Visibility of the Settings section of the right navigation menu.

Send and Receive Private Messages (Paid Registred Member Only)

You can send and receive private messages to followings and from followers only. You can add one or more followings to your private discussions. To send a private message, go to your Messages section in the right navigation menu and click on Compose. You will then be redirected to the message composing page and be able to enter the name of one or more of your followings and start a new discussion. To reply to a message, go to your Messages section and click on an existing message in your Inbox or Sent section, you will then be able to reply to that message. To delete a message, click on the trash icon on the right of any message. You can go to a specific user profile and click on the open letter icon button in the user's header, you will then be redirected to the Private Message Compose page and the user's name will already be entered letting you enter your message and send it to the user.

Block or Report a User

You can block and/or report a user in any time if you think that there is something really wrong going on with this user, like posting or encouraging hatred and violence for example. To block and/or report a user, go on his profile and click on the 3 dots button in this user's header section, there will popup both options for you to choose. If you block a user, he will not be able to view any content from you and your profile but you will not be able to view is content and profile neither. When a user is reported, the administration will be notified and will determine the actions to take concerning the reported user. You can view the users that you have blocked by clicking on the Blocked Users link in the Settings section of the right navigation menu and from there unblock them if you changed your mind.

Notificatons System

The system is sending notifications to users depending of the site users actions. You can view your notifications at any time by clicking on the bell icon on the top navigation bar. You will notice a little red bubble with a number in it if you have new or unread notifications. By clicking on the bell, the user is redirected to his unread notifications section and is then able to click on any notifications in order to view the purpose of the notification. You can mark a notification as read in anytime by clicking on the check and eye icon at the right of the notification and you can delete it permanently by clicking on the trash icon on his right. You can mark a notification as unread by clicking on the check and eye on the right side of any notification in your unread notifications section. The link for it is located in the sub navigation bottom bar when viewing your notifications.

Subscription Plans

By default, any new site member is registred as a Supporter Plan account and have the restricted abilities linked to this plan. If you would like to remove all the restrictions and help us grow by upgrading your subscription plan to a monthly or yearly paid plan, click on the Settings link of the right navigation menu and on the Subscription Plan link or on the Subscription Infos link to view your membership informations.

Night Mode

There is a Night Mode option that changes the site background color to a dark version for a little eyes rest when activated. To change the regular display mode to Night Mode, click on the Night Mode link of the left navigation menu and click the toggle button. Click back on the toggle button to come back to regular display mode.

Delete Your Account

You can also permanently delete your RDVhub account. In order to delete your account, simply send us an email to deletemyaccount@RDVhub.com and give us your username and password while explaining why you would like your account to be deleted. If you follow the instructions here, your account will be deactivated and then deleted. When deactivated, your account, including your name, username, and public profile, is not viewable on RDVhub.com. For up to 30 days after deactivation it is still possible to restore your account if it was accidentally or wrongfully deactivated. Absent a separate arrangement between you and us to extend your deactivation period, after 30 days, we begin the process of deleting your account from our systems, which can take up to a week.
